Who Are We – The Lords Taverners

The Lord’s Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity dedicated to giving
disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance.

Our sporting roots are within cricket, but we also enjoy relationships with a wide range of other sports
including rugby, tennis, squash, basketball and boccia.

Our mission is to enhance the prospects of disadvantaged and disabled young people through sport and recreation.

In 2014 over £3,000,000 was raised to provide sporting and recreational opportunities for disadvantaged
and disabled young people in communities across the UK.

The Leicestershire Branch launched in 2011 – bringing business, sporting and educational communities together.

The Leicestershire Branch of The Lord’s Taverners

The Leicestershire Branch of The Lord’s Taverners was formed at the end of 2011 when members of the business, sporting
and educational communities came together. In conjunction with the East Midlands region of the National organisation,
a local fund raising committee was formed.
